Master Thesis - the ability of a robot to detect and avoid edges or drop-offs in its environment. This technology is particularly important for robots that are designed to navigate outdoor environments or environments with varying terrain.

Edges Avoidance

Robots equipped with edge avoidance technology use sensors such as cameras, ultrasonic sensors, or lidar sensors to detect changes in the terrain, such as the edge of a cliff, a steep drop-off, or a large hole. Once an edge or drop-off is detected, the robot will take corrective action to avoid falling or getting stuck.
